Meet Our Founder
Myia Tinnon
Executive Director, Motor-Vation Training Project
Myia brings over 23 years of experience in education, having taught Physical Education and Adapted Physical Education, and served as a Teacher Consultant for Exceptional Students — work that reflects her deep commitment to inclusive, accessible programming for all abilities.

A passionate advocate for youth development, Myia has coached Special Olympics, coordinated Unified Sports, and coached Volleyball and Track during her tenure, building communities where every athlete belongs and thrives. Her years working with exceptional students inspired her to create a space where movement, sport, and inclusion come together. In her spare time, Myia enjoys working out, reading, traveling, and spending time with her children.

Our Story
Born from Belief. Built on Belonging.
Motor-Vation Training Project was founded in 2025 from a simple but powerful belief: wellness should be accessible, inclusive, and rooted in belonging for individuals of all abilities and their families.
After witnessing firsthand how cost, limited programming, and inaccessible systems can prevent participation in wellness and recreation opportunities, our founder, Myia, saw a gap that went far beyond movement or fitness—it was a gap in belonging, connection, and everyday wellness access.
What began as a vision for inclusive movement evolved into a broader mission: creating community-based wellness and recreation opportunities that support the whole person—not just physical activity, but emotional, social, and relational well-being.
Today, Motor-Vation Training Project exists to expand access to inclusive wellness experiences where individuals with disabilities and their families can participate fully, build meaningful connections, and experience a sense of belonging in everyday life.

The Access Gap Starts Early
Children and young adults with disabilities are significantly less likely to participate in recreational and wellness activities than their peers without disabilities—often due to barriers in access, cost, and inclusive programming.

Inclusive wellness and recreation programming in community spaces
-
Accessible opportunities for participation and connection
-
Experiences that support social, emotional, and physical well-being
-
Reduced financial barriers for families
-
Community partnerships that expand access and inclusion
